The “Modeh Ani” prayer is sourced from the 16th century work of Rabbi Moshe ben Machir. The prayer expresses gratitude to God for restoring a person’s soul each morning and is typically said as part of the morning prayer service. In this joyful print, Mordechai uses bold orange calligraphy to create the Hebrew letters, each one containing sweet treasures including butterflies, flowers, birds etc.Â
