Build This World With Love

Within this inspiring creation beholding the earth, we find the Hebrew words “Olam Chessed Yibaneh” – meaning “We will build this world with love”.  This phrase appears in various religious texts and prayers, most notably in Psalm 89:3, where the psalmist praises God and declares that His lovingkindness will last forever.  Mordechai portrays a colorful world – leaves, fruit, fauna & flora, heaven and earth. 

In recent times, there was a beautiful song written by Rabbi Menachem Creditor based on this phrase that became popular around the world. Menachem’s wife, singer/songwriter Neshama Carlebach, daughter of the late Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach z”l, sang the song at the gates of Auschwitz.
